Adolescent DBT Skills Group Starting Feb 20, 2024! Are you a teen or young adult who has lost control in your life due to mental health or a difficult situation? Or perhaps you are a parent who is struggling to support their loved one through a crisis. I specialize in supporting teens, young adults and families who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges and situational stressors. My practice is eclectic and is drawn from evidence based approaches, such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, emotion focused family therapy, and narrative therapy.
Counselling should be flexible to fit the unique needs of each individual person. I provide education to increase understanding and insight, and provide practical skills you can implement and to take control back in your life.
I believe that connection and trust within the therapeutic relationship are essential. I offer a free, 15 minute introductory phone conversation to see if we might be a good fit working together. I am a licensed First Nations Health Authority provider. Please visit my website, www.katesandilandscounselling.com for more information.
