I understand deeply that seeking support can be daunting, and yet it it also profoundly self-compassionate. Your decision to be here and reading this is a clear indicator of this care and advocacy for yourself, even though it may not feel that way right now. In our therapy, I see you as the expert on yourself; I hear your story, your understanding of how you have come to relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. I accompany you on your journey of self-exploration with knowledge of psychological processes and interventions, and work collaboratively with you with compassion, curiosity & warmth to seek the change you want.
For over 7 years, I've worked with adult clients on topics like complex and interpersonal trauma, PTSD, processing loss and grief, anxiety and worries, depression, substance use, self-esteem issues and shame, relationship difficulties, OCD, and others. While not exclusively, I've worked extensively with gay and bisexual men, and queer and trans folks.
I root my practise in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and intersectional frameworks that I use to map out your concerns. My integrative approach uses emotion-focused and humanistic, cognitive and behavioural models. Together, we can explore your emotions, address thoughts & behaviours, and create new ways of being, in a safe and welcoming environment.
