With 15 years of clinical social work experience (MSW, RSW), Alisha works from a place of curiosity and collaboration, rather than authority. She has a wide variety of clinical and supervision experiences and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in social work where she will research autism, females, and the education system. Alisha is passionate about the world of neurodiversity, and autism in particular. Alisha has no agenda to pathologize your experience and is instead interested in hearing your story. You are the expert of your world. No one knows what you are going through better than you.
Alisha is mindful of different sensory needs and make every effort to help you feel relaxed and comfortable in counselling. Alisha does not expect you to make small talk or eye contact. You are also free to stim, stand, and/or walk around as you need during sessions.
Parents and other supports of neurodiverse folks are welcome in this space. It can be tough to navigate feelings of isolation and overwhelm. Alisha offers a deep understanding and gentle approach to some of life's toughest obstacles. To book online: https://oab.owlpractice.ca/bewellcounselling/booking
