Art therapy processes connect the heart, mind, body, and soul to promote healing, becoming, and knowing. Art therapy is for all ages and there is no right or wrong way. Art therapy is unique because it goes beyond traditional talk therapy by promoting your inner voice, inner wisdom, and inner psyche to emerge through a variety of creative techniques incorporating, symbols, pictures, line, shape, color, movement, drama, music, and metaphor. When it is difficult to put words to our thoughts and emotions, art therapy helps bypass these barriers.
I am trained in EMDR which has made a significant impact on my theoretical orientation overall and strengthens my approach to therapy to help individuals overcome and heal from trauma.

Art Therapy Group
Are you looking to connect with like minded individuals seeking a non-judgmental therapeutic community? This group promotes opportunities to make positive connections and a safe space to practice healthy boundaries and communication skills while encouraging development of self-care practices. We will learn and practice healthy coping skills to cultivate opportunities for intra/interpersonal growth. Expressive therapy techniques include provided art media to engage in a creative process to explore relative mental health wellness themes. Needs, interests and goals are discussed. Common techniques provided are guided meditation, breath work, music, creative journaling, response art, and group discussion.
