As someone who has lived with the symptoms of anxiety and depression for years, I know how difficult life can be when these things weigh you down. Fortunately, this doesn't have to be so. I am experienced in applying therapeutic skills that I personally know to be powerful in alleviating suffering and improving lives. While my therapeutic background is in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), I am experienced in working within an eclectic therapeutic framework, and I call on various methods as necessary. I enjoy working with both teens and adults, and I also work well with LGBTQ+ clients.
My first goal in psychotherapy is to understand my client. Though this is only the first step, it is impossible to grow without this foundation. I provide a safe, non-judgmental forum wherein my clients may be genuinely understood. The direction of therapy thereafter depends upon my client's needs.
I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking guidance and relief from life's struggles as well as a safe place to explore themselves and their place in the world. I am anxious to work with people who are ready to change and grow. I am also available on Saturdays.
