Interpersonal Process Psychotherapy
Two existing groups 90 minutes a week on Monday or Tuesday. Forming two new groups, Wednesday and Thursday; one of these to be a women's group, the other men and women. Research shows interpersonal process group psychotherapy more effective than any other type of group; coupled with individual therapy treatment outcomes are exponentially improved. Groups have 6-8 members; once established these are very stable, safe, confidential groups in which to practice the novel skills developed here for increased self-knowledge, relationship skills and goal realization. Interpersonal process stimulates development of novel skills in relationships which optimize self-efficacy.

Interpersonal process group psychotherapy is the single most effective treatment modality. It requires patience, perseverence, & strenuous effort to develop the relationships that yield knowledge you cannot get any other way. Women's group offers you a unique opportunity to differentiate the power dynamics you experience with men in the mix. Expand your understanding of 'me too' to include stripping away power, authority, creative contributions : your identity! Explore the moves that resemble an opponent stealing the ball in games that use the ball to score points. Then get creative. Construct and practice plays that block stealing, keep the ball & score!
