Feeling out of control with food or dealing with body image issues can be so hard to bring up, even in therapy. Yet these issues can feel impossible to manage on your own. Years of dieting and joining gyms, and still stuck in the same battle. Body image and food behaviors are a key aspect of our mental state, and therapy can help you build trust with your body, find freedom from the food and body police, heal from traumatic experiences of body image injury, and learn to care for yourself consistently without shame or anxiety.
I use a combination of exploratory conversations, respectful challenging, and more technique-heavy interventions to guide my clients towards powerful shifts in perspectives and behaviors. I understand the stress and loneliness that can accompany food and body issues, and I work hard to create an environment where it's comfortable to explore these issues.
No matter your goals, in our sessions we will explore the relationship between past and present, deconstruct self-defeating patterns, and tune into your own inner roadmap for wellbeing. Successful therapy requires an excellent client-therapist relationship and an environment where you can grow. I’d love to connect with you and see if we’re a good fit!
