We provide compassionate counseling care which is rooted in research proven methods as well as a Christian world view. We use Neurosequential Model Therapeutics-adverse experiences leave us with beliefs about ourselves or our world that make it difficult to form healthy relationships. This approach is ideal for adopted children, and adult survivors of abuse or neglect as well as adverse childhood events such as divorce or parental loss.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a researched based approach which helps clients who have experienced adverse events or trauma. EMDR uses regulating and calming thoughts to minimize the affects of memories of adverse events. EMDR decreases flashbacks or intrusive thoughts as well as negative self-talk.
