The process of healing takes care, requires patience, and is unique to each person. I strongly believe that our diversity is our strength across intersections of identity and power. It's important for me to be non-judgmental, and honor lived experience. I have done work with inpatient psychiatric care, community organizing, and provided psychotherapy to individuals from teens to older adults.
We will explore the underlying roots of problems to gain insight into unconscious patterns, as we develop strategies to lessen suffering and make meaningful change. In addition to psychodynamic psychotherapy, I incorporate narrative therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques into my practice.
Often we talk about therapy as a process to learn about our past. Our time can also be used to create curiosity about ourselves. What are your dreams? What difficulties would you like to overcome?
