I completed my internship working in an inpatient facility and my residency working in community mental health. I work closely with my clients to identify their needs and target specialized treatment modalities to meet those needs. I particularly enjoying working with adolescents and adults. However, when completing psychological assessments, I work with ages 6 and up.
I specialize in substance abuse and dual diagnosis issues, severe mental illness, obesity and eating issues as well as mood disorders. I also specialize in psychological assessment, substance abuse assessments, immigration evaluations and medical evaluations (spinal cord, bariatric.) I also do adoption evaluations.
Therapy can be a challenging process and everyone needs to find the right psychologist to take that journey of exploring their emotions and inner thoughts with. I like to challenge my patients and explore harmful behaviors, beliefs and thoughts in an empathetic and caring way while helping promote healthy coping skills to ensure positive mental health.
