My experience is that people learn, grow, and change in the context of accepting and caring relationship. The client-counselor relationship provides that opportunity. Since 2012 I have enjoyed working with individuals, parents, and groups. I try to bring a fresh perspective and a non-judgmental attitude to each session. My clients can expect empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity from me. They can also expect the knowledge and wisdom of a seasoned therapist. My private practice gives me the opportunity to serve clients in a way that I am not burned out. I also specialize in preventing professional burnout.
I offer a variety of approaches including individual talk therapy, EMDR (for trauma), and trauma-sensitive Yoga and Mindfulness techniques. I work with my clients to determine what works best for them.
We are all just human and humans usually find relief with talking about our troubling thoughts and feelings during difficult times. We can also benefit from working deeper and discovering your strengths and ability to cope through mindfulness-based approaches. Positive Parenting
Join us for a fun and engaging Positive Discipline Parenting Class that will meet one time on Saturday, MAY 18th from 10 am to 3 pm. The class will give you at least 5 Positive Discipline Tools that can be life changing for parents and children. You will have the opportunity to participate in experiential activities that help parents get into the child's world for deeper understanding of what works and doesn't work. Space is limited! Register early by calling me or emailing me. The cost of the class includes a Positive Discipline Parenting Toolkit!
