My clients present with a variety of concerns including mood concerns, needs for healthy coping tools, substance use issues, goals for improving relationships, and processing through trauma history. I offer individual, couples, and family counseling and use a variety of research-based methods including DBT, CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Addictions Counseling, Trauma-Informed Counseling, and others in order to support those who wish to explore their strengths and weaknesses, explore potential for change, and put change plans into action. I also have a history of work with individuals dealing with psychosis and other disabilities.
I am personally and professionally motivated toward helping others work through past and current traumas. I believe trauma is defined by each individual's experience and that every human has power within to progress toward change that will ultimately enable a fulfilling and meaningful life. I aspire to provide clients with a safe space for this exploration.
My primary goal is to create a safe space to explore the potential for change that you desire, including somatic healing and other modalities when relevant. I orient my counseling toward providing you unconditional positive regard for you as an individual, as well as providing support in your work toward and healing self-actualization.
