I enjoy assisting individuals, couples, and families in recognizing their inherent potential, which can sometimes be overlooked when derailed by situations causing you emotional pain and suffering. I practice in a tranquil and calm environment and believe in the therapeutic power of caring, humor, open-mindedness, and empathy to promote trust, confidence, and healing. I trust that, by believing in our own self-worth, we become stronger, more resilient, and more willing to work towards positive life change. It is my mission to teach you the skills you will need in order to facilitate an effective and healthy process of personal and relational growth.
My goal is to help you understand and resolve emotional/behavioral distress brought on by: depression, anxiety, defiance, grief/loss, relationship problems, family conflict, and trauma. I have years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and our Veterans in dealing with a range of issues.
Each client will have an individualized treatment plan that will be tailored to their own unique needs. I take a holistic approach integrating mind, body, and spirit. I have training and experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness. I have also completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
