Alternative Behavioral Therapy specializes in the integration of talk therapy and Neurofeedback which is commonly used for the treatment and normalization of ADHD. For those adept in this field, we practice Infra-low, SMR training, theta/beta ratio, and alpha-theta deep state processing as well as ISF (Infra-slow frequency training). For disorders resulting from trauma, EMDR may be incorporated as deemed appropriate. Other modality options may include Play Therapy or life coaching as well.
Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) is the training of mental states using classical/operant conditioning. Electrodes are placed on the head and brain wave behavior is recorded. A computer feeds back light and sound to exercise the brain. An individual can learn how to control their own mental state with the help of this feedback process.
