As a therapist, our purpose is to reflect back what people bring to us in a way that allows them to unlock their own doors. Emotional development in people of all ages is an ongoing cycle throughout the lifespan. Dr. Fish began her career as a Music Therapist, and later returned to obtain her doctorate in clinical psychology which she completed in 2002. Treatment can include individual, family or group therapy based on specific needs. Clinical supervision for practitioners working towards licensure is also available.
Dr. Fish specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Training involved a 12 month, full time educational & practical experience. This involved applying DBT concepts in individual and group formats with a minimum caseload of 25-30 clients per week. This included intensive supervision: individual 2 hours/week; group/consultative 2 hours/week; peer two hours/month).
Flexibility is key in helping people meet their needs. Therapy is a cooperative effort between client(s) and therapist to bring together "pieces of the puzzle" so we can feel whole again.
