Hi. Since 1978 I've help individuals and couples with communication,stress, depression, sex, affairs, pornography, PTSD. My comprehensive approach to counseling integrates the psychological and spiritual aspects of life in a way which not only treats painful symptoms but also heals the underlying emotional wounds. I believe that empathic listening without judging is the foundation of emotinal healing.Therapy is a process of gaining a wider perspective which reveals how past trauma are connected to present problems.Greater mindfulness reveals how old, problematic response patterns can be discarded and replaced by new and better ones.
I'm different as a therapist because I'm a person and a minster who can speak frankly about sex without embarrassment. Thus, clients know that it is OK for them too, embarrassing issues are to be understood not judged or condemned . Specifically since 1978, I've helped individuals and couples with communication, stress, depression, sex, affairs, porn, PTSD.
While all therapist are trained in counseling, Pastoral Counselors have undergone their own extensive therapy as part of their education. When you talk with me, know that I have sat in your seat. I've learned about counseling not only from graduate school but from my own personal therapy as well. My goal is to understand you, not judge or impose my views.

This pornography group is currently inactive ! Internet pornography has become a problem which affects not only one's marriage but also work one's work place. The the outlook of this group toward's pornograph obsession is that it is as a self-soothing distraction which diverts attention from underlying and unresolved conflicts and issues. Through the professionally-lead peer interaction: 1)shame is lowered so that 2)a realistic appreciation of the destructive aspects of this activity can be developed; 3) better and more effective and less problematic coping mechanisms may be found and 4) that the underlying conflicts will be addressed and resolved.
