Andrew A. Gauler

Counselor , LMHC , MA , MS , CRC , CVE

(904) 508-0821
As a licensed mental health counselor, I am working with adolescents and adults. My theoretical orientation to counseling is rooted in the philosophy of a humanistic-existential approach to human functioning. I use the tenets of individual responsibility to choice and decision-making and apply them within a cognitive-behavioral perspective to counseling and clinical work. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and minor in Spanish, a Master of Science degree in rehabilitation counseling with a focus on mental health and psychology from the University of North Florida, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University.
In addition to practicing as a mental health therapist, I hold national certifications as a certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and certified vocational evaluation specialist (CVE). I have over 8 years experience in the counseling field working with diverse populations, including individuals with congenital and acquired disabilities.
Florida Counseling is offering two locations that each provide a warm, comfortable, and friendly office environment. The Southside practice is located right off Philips Highway between JTB and University Blvd, and the Intracoastal West practice is located on Atlantic Boulevard between Hodges Blvd and Kernan Blvd.

Anger Management Group

Many of us experience the occasional frustration and anger that stem from issues occurring in our every-day lives. In this anger management group, we will address the process of learning to recognize signs that make us angry, and we learn to take actions to calm down and deal with the situation in a positive and constructive manner. Of course, anger is a natural and sometimes healthy emotional reaction, but expressing it appropriately is not always easy. In this group, we will learn how to better accomplish this through educational and applied methods techniques.
