I am known for my warm and calming presence. Empathy and compassion provide clients with a sense of being heard and understood. Wisdom, and a practical approach, help clients deal effectively and confidently with the various life issues they are facing.
I believe that we all have a purpose for being, but that occasionally we get "off track." Psychotherapy ("care of the soul") is one way to discover a deep sense of meaning and purpose, and to begin taking steps toward living a more authentic, purpose-driven life.
I approach each client with an attitude of wonder, acceptance, empathy and unconditional positive regard. While I am supportive and encouraging, I also recognize that sometimes clients need to be challenged to change. It often takes a close, professional relationship with a therapist to gain the insight to change.
