Dr. Pamela Beverage

Counselor , EdD , LPCC

In my work I make deep connections with people as we meet and talk honestly. Each person who meets with me seeks to find meaning and purpose in life. Part of this process is helping the unconscious and the conscious talk to each other because many of our inner conflicts, i.e. fights with ourselves, come from a lack of communication between the conscious and unconscious. A part of the work is exploring what lies in shadow. This is not just repressed, ugly stuff. For many folks untapped gifts and potential lie in the unknown parts of themselves.
Almost any issue lends itself to this work. In a typical work week I may talk with people who are dealing with: loss and grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, communication and conflict, mother-daughter or father-son issues, depression, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, job dissatisfaction, or early conflicts underlying addictions.
The methods I use are talk therapy, dream analysis, and active imagination. My work with patients may also include use of art or music as well as depth coaching and mediation. Whatever we use, my commitment is to an honest relationship and to quiet, deep listening to each person.

Dr. Pamela Beverage's groups

Dream Groups

Dreams are a meaningful product of psychic activity. Dreams may be a complement to waking life. Sometimes the symbols in dreams lead the dreamer to an exploration of unconscious activity. And sometimes dreams provide solutions to a present or future situation. Whatever the content, understanding one's dreams will lead to greater self awareness and support on one's chosen spiritual path. Through conversation, art, self-dialogue, and dream theatre, the group will offer: support and companionship, exploration of the inner world, increased self-awareness, understanding of the language of dreams, and a look at your life from a new perspective.

Images of Our Mothers

Every woman is impacted by the mother-daughter bond--or lack of it. That relationship becomes a pivotal point for how women relate to the world. Women often yearn for closeness and all kinds of feelings emerge: fear, admiration, anger, love, compassion, anxiety, respect, suffering. This workshop will explore the mother-daughter relationship from three perspectives: child to mother, sister to sister, and transpersonal or Divine Mother. The workshop is nonthreatening and appropriate for adult women of all ages and stages of relationship with their mothers.
