If you are considering psychotherapy, you are looking for someone who will understand your difficulties and help you make positive changes in your life. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, family dysfunction, grief and loss, the after-effects of trauma, and other concerns that interfere with daily functioning. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the key to successful therapy and I strive to provide a non-judgmental setting and develop a trusting and collaborative relationship with each of my clients. The benefits of therapy can include better self-understanding, increased self-confidence, and improved coping strategies.

I also treat individuals with social anxiety and those who have difficulty getting along with others. These issues often result in loneliness and unsatisfying relationships. Therapy provides the opportunity to increase your self-esteem and see yourself differently. Skills and self-awareness gained in therapy can transfer to and improve relationships outside of therapy.

My training prepared me to work with people of all cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and identities. Part of my work with you will be to understand not only who you are as a person, but also how your background and experiences shape your life. I look forward to speaking with you about your concerns.
