If you are struggling with food, your weight, or how you feel about your body, I can help. Instead of continuing to feel out of control, we will work to put you back in charge. While I have been regarded as an authority in the field of eating disorders for over two decades, I also have extensive training and can offer effective treatment approaches for coping with depression, anxiety, and panic; posttraumatic stress; marital and family problems; the challenges of parenting; and infertility and adoption issues. I am trained in and use a wide variety of treatment methods including, cognitive behavioral therapy; Brief, Solution-focused Therapy; EMDR; hypnosis; Aceptance and Commitment Therapy. This group provides an opportunity for pre- and post-bariatric surgery patients to learn long-term approaches to a new lifestyle. This is not a band-aid approach that can lead to another failure with the accompanying loss of self-esteem. Use many sources of wisdom, from neuropsychology to ancient methods of quieting the mind. Learn to create both more joy in eating and more health! Taught by a psychologist who is a successful bariatric surgery patient and who has, for over two decades, been recognized as an authority in threatment of all sorts of eating, weight and body image issues.

You will learn to tune into your body's signals about when, what , and how much to eat as well as when to stop. You will also learn to get more satisfaction from food, and identify your habits and patterns with food.
