If you are in a stressful or traumatic situation (e.g. loss of a loved one, coping with sudden life changes), therapy can help. I am a licensed psychologist with 20+ years of clinical experience helping people deal effectively with adversity, stress and trauma. We will work in a respectful, collaborative manner. I utilize an integrative psychotherapeutic approach with proven methods, through which you will gain insight and learn skills to help you heal and successfully manage the complexities of your situation. In learning to deal more effectively with your difficulties, you will feel better and your situation will improve.
Assisting people to cope as well as possible with the adversities of life is at the forefront of my practice. I see people who are trying to cope and heal from a wide range of stressful or traumatic situations. I am CBT and EMDR trained (EMDRIA) and an IATP Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and utilize evidence-based treatment methods.
On a personal note, a very close member of my family died by suicide. That experience informs my outlook on life and my work to this day. From extensive training and personal experience, I know first hand that we can all learn to heal and to cope well with adversity.
