I operate out of a deep sense of respect for each client. The answer to a person's problems ultimately lies within that person and I am here to help clients explore deeply those thoughts and feelings that may be contributing to a less that fulfilling life.
I work with many clients who experience anxiety and/or depression. The therapeutic relationship provides a safe setting to explore experiences, thoughts, and feelings which contribute to depression and anxiety. I help clients think differently about themselves and their experiences and thus find relief from troubling emotions.
In addition to individual therapy, l have vast experience working with couples who are experiencing difficulty in their relationship. I assist couples as they make a thorough examination of the current state of their relationship and then make the necessary adjustments to return to the fulfilling relationship they once had.

Therapy Group: Exploring Relationships
This therapy group is a 'process' oriented group where clients can work on their own concerns, while learning to more effectively interact with others. The therapy group becomes a microcosm of the client's world. Real-life issues are explored and worked out in a safe and supportive setting. Interested individuals should have an initial individual session with Dr. McDonald in order to determ whether the group is a good fit for the individual. Insurance is accepted.
