Sometimes one becomes stuck in destructive cycles or unhealthy patterns learned in childhood. Maybe it was neglect, abuse, or a chaotic environment due to a parent figure so wrapped up in their own trauma, they were unable to be there for you. Or maybe a more recent trauma (an accident, sexual assault, military experiences, etc.) is bothering you. Using EMDR and other Cognitive Behavioral techniques, I can help you reprocess those past experiences so they are not so disturbing and have such a powerful hold over you. This will open the door for you to gain new insight and learn effective skills that will enable you to experience the world in a whole new way.
