Clients see me for existential fatigue from unresolved trauma, loss, grief, relationship conflict, anxiety, depression, addictions/compulsions. Every part of our lives has an opportunity for growth. I support people who want to engage the opportunities and move beyond simple relief of symptoms to understand symptoms are telling us something greater is trying to emerge. I believe relationship between therapist and client(s) is a primary factor in determining success in therapy. Clients who see me are usually seeking deeper relationships with themselves, others, and their world, i am here to facilitate that process.
I focus on empowering others to create deeper meaning by integrating psychology and spirituality. The practices I utilize include insight oriented treatment; study of patterns and utilization of transference, internal family systems and accessing the higher self, establishing presence and mindfulness, Buddhist meditation, contemplative Christian prayer.
How do we engage the opportunities for growth? We listen to the something that is always beckoning to us.
