My approach is straightforward. I help people make difficult changes using a blend of evidence-based practices and individualized techniques drawn from 30+ years of experience. I will not tell you comfortable lies. Good therapy always results in some kind of change, so that's what we focus on. I treat anxiety, depression, couples in crisis, addiction, anger, habit change, Internet/video game issues, trauma/PTSD using EMDR or trauma focused CBT, sexually problematic behavior, fallout from divorce, parent-child conflict, failure to thrive, and social skills training.
I specialize in adolescents/young adults, adults, parents, and couples experiencing a variety of concerns: Anxiety, stress, substance abuse, Internet/technology issues, difficult-to-reach, failure-to-launch, sexually problematic behavior, anger/aggression, emerging mental health concerns, oppositional/defiant behavior and intensive parental coaching.
I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed addictions counselor (LAC) and listed with the SOMB as a full operating, supervisory level juvenile/adult provider/evaluator (juveniles). My office is comfortable, discreet and is conveniently located next to the Downtown Littleton area. I also offer internet therapy and virtual reality options.
