The brain has an immense capacity to change and grow over a lifetime. Clinical research demonstrates even a few months of mindfulness practice can be effective in treating chronic stress, depression, anxiety, addictions, pain, illness, and can boost performance under pressure, enhance relationships, and improve enjoyment of work. I use my professional counseling training, teaching experience, and knowledge of neuroscience to develop with you a set of practical skills you can use daily. I will help you use your strengths to harness the power of your mind and develop skills to uncover more peace, joy, and freedom in your life!
Since 2007 I have taught mindfulness at hospitals, schools, businesses, and in the community. Starting in 2009, I collaborated on clinical neuroscience research to study what practices make brains healthier and contribute to psychological wellness. Since 2012 I've offered mindfulness-based counseling to individuals looking for support in healing and growth.
In 2021 I began offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy to clients for whom this modality is appropriate, in collab with their prescriber. Clients and colleagues describe me as kind, down to earth, conscientious, dependable, and funny. Working together is a balance of goals and exploration. I truly enjoy this work and look forward to working with you!
