My counseling practice is a safe place for children, teens, and adults to tell their stories and work through issues. For over twenty years, I have worked with individuals and families to make sustainable changes over time. I partner with my clients in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner to identify and resolve underlying issues. Supportive check-in sessions are offered following intensive therapy to sustain change and promote the ongoing use of newly acquired skills. Additionally, I offer psychological assessments to address learning, emotional, or behavioral issues, as well as consultation on IEP/504 plans.
I practice cognitive-behavioral therapy to assist clients in exploring thoughts, feelings, and behavior, as well as making changes in thinking or behavioral patterns. A major focus of therapy is to develop sustainable and healthy coping skills to better manage symptoms associated with a specific condition, diagnosis, and/or life's stressors.
Teens and adults benefit from regularly scheduled brief teletherapy sessions to manage ADHD symptoms and executive functioning challenges. Each week coaching begins with creating task-centered plans to meet the demands of school/work and personal life. End of the week check-ins focus on monitoring objectives, problem-solving, and revising plans if needed.
