DBT Skills Group
Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills group is an evidenced based treatment of choice for individulas with longstanding personality and co-occurring disorders. Individuals in this group report making more progress in 6 months of this treatment than 6 years of prior therapy. I have worked with my co-facilitator for over 15 years and have been intensively trained in DBT treatment. This group is co-facilitated by two psychologist who adhere to the standards DBT protocol. There is extensive research on the effectiveness of DBT with highly suicidal clients and clients who are suffering from long standing emotional pain.

MBSR and Mindfulness Based Group Therapy
There is an 8 week course that is modeled after Jon Kabat-Zinn MBSR program. This course is an excellent training in mindfulness exercises and practices that help reduce stress, improve health, and emotional functioning. Requires strong commitment and homework daily. The psychotherapy group requires some training in mindfulness meditation and commitment to practice.

Advanced DBT mindfulness and self compassion Group
Dr. Shutt co-facilitates this group with Dr. Nicole Davis. This is a structured 16 week group that includes lecture, group exercises, and experiential techniques and practices to deepen connection to body, mind, and spirit. Pre-requisites: DBT and/ or MBSR and participant must be referred by and seen by a mindfulness based psychotherapist or DBT intensively trained therapist.
