Feel free to call or email if you have any questions. I offer a free telephone consultation, and offer excellent referrals if I am not the right fit for your particular circumstance. I work with individuals and couples and children on a wide range of issues including anxiety, perfectionism, support through life-transistions or re-connecting/ rekindling loving feelings.
I specialize adoption issues, including counseling adult adoptees, birthparents, adoptive parents and adoptive children including attachment, adjustment, unplanned pregnancy, multiracial family building, and managing stress due to waiting and uncertainties of the adoption process. I also specialize in the unique emotional needs of gifted children & families.
I believe that the process of therapy is unique to every person. I draw from a variety of sources to meet your individual personality, interests, and goals. I often use strengths-based and solution-focused therapy. Our sessions will be engaging and supportive. I look forward to working with you!

Perhaps your child... * is unusually intense and sensitive * has a high energy level; may seem scattered and disorganized * has very high expectations of self/others * has trouble finding friends his/her own age * is a rapid, curious, innovative learner who may be disruptive or bored in school * has an intellectual level beyond his/her emotional level * has learning disabilities in addition to being gifted. SENG groups offer parents strategies and support in a relaxed setting.
