We can use art/talk therapy,or a combination of both. I also integrate music, writing, or mindfulness techniques into sessions when appropriate to further self exploration.
Through out the years I have witnessed the healing power of the arts & mindfulness techniques in working with all ages & cultures. Art Therapy uses the nonverbal language of art for personal growth and transformation. This therapeutic process helps connect what is inside us(feelings,perceptions) with outer realities/life experiences.
I have a dual Master's in Art Therapy & Counseling & utilize an eclectic person-centered approach. I specialize in Art Therapy& Counseling with adolescents, individuals & caregivers coping with cancer or illness, and women searching for ways to discover & nurture themselves.
