I bring 40 years of experience to my private practice helping individuals solve emotional and behavioral health problems. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, I am skilled in helping people with problems such as anxiety, depression, relationship/interpersonal issues, bullying and loss. I assist clients in developing social and emotional skills that help them live happier and more meaningful lives. My style is warm, respectful and spirited. I love the work I do and look forward to meeting and helping you.
I provide the following types of therapies: mindfulness-based, cognitive behavioral, expressive and positive psychology. I am a conflict resolution and bullying prevention/intervention specialist and the author of Empowering Children to Help Stop Bullying at School. I am also a contributing author of Early Childhood Adventures in Peacemaking.
My expressive therapy approach is integrated with traditional approaches involving: communication about feelings, thoughts and behavior, and collaborative problem-solving. I am the author of "Story Therapy: from shadows into light."
