Resolve trauma and post traumatic stress, helping you put your past in the past. I treat grief, depression, anxiety, instability of mood and behavior, self image and functioning associated with trauma, recent or past. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor; Veteran's Administration Certified to treat Post Traumatic Stress; Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT); Clinical Trauma Professional; and EMDR Certified. Research-based EMDR is my preferred therapeutic approach used to relieve and resolve trauma, transforming lives when talk therapy isn't enough.
EMDR and DBT skills relieve emotions triggered by external events and trauma. EMDR is an extensively researched, effective treatment of trauma, freeing underlying fears. DBT is a skill-based, therapeutic treatment to manage current emotions, tolerate distress, improve interpersonal effectiveness, increase awareness of physical and psychological influences.
At the University of Michigan, I completed the Advanced Human Resource Executive Program working in related corporate areas for 30 years. Outside counseling, I retired as a 37 year commercial airline pilot captain. A Veteran of the US Air Force, I served 10 years as pilot of the C5.
