My ideal client is dealing with substance abuse and they along with their family have suffered tremendously. They can be in any of the 4 stages of change. I approach helping my clients heal in a empathetic and compassionate way which introduces a holistic approach to living. I do not see my clients as "addicts" but rather people who are hurting on an variety of levels and are worth saving. My experience, knowledge and licensure enable me to aid people who are battling weight, sexual and relationship issues as well.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and focus on the emotional traumas that lead to a choice to use drugs and alcohol or any form of self-harm, while simultaneously implementing a balanced healthy lifestyle. I am an advocate of choice, acceptance and accountability who supports and encourages productive living.
