Choosing a counselor can be a scary decision. It may help to know how I can assist you with your life issues. I specialize in grief therpy, family therapy, adolescent issues, and families with children with chronic illness. I also work with many general topics, including life coaching, trauma, and adjustment problems.
I direct therapy from a Psychodynamic approach, taking into consideration your whole life story, not just the present situation. I view family issues from a Family Systems construct, seeing the family as an action story, each person playing a part.
Raising children with chronic, on-going conditions can be a stressful and daunting task. Having support along the way in making difficult decisions and accomplishing daily and monthly essential duties can be extremely helpful. I can assist you in facing and tackling the daily and crisis situations you may encounter.
