Groups
Moderation, Mindfulness, & Concerns about Drinking
Groups addressing concerns about excessive drinking based on the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness within a Harm Reduction framework are offered for young adults (ages 21 - 30), full-time parents and working professionals. Discussion topics include alcohol education, strategies to reduce or abstain from alcohol, relationship building, and overall improved health and well-being. In each of the 3 groups, personalized goals for optimal drinking will be explored in an optimistic and collaborative setting. This approach is based on the belief that everyone can modify habits; individuals at every stage of the change process are invited to participate.
