I'm a bilingual/bi-cultural (English/ Spanish) counselor with 25 years of experience working with individuals, groups, and families addressing life challenges: depression, anxiety, anger management, panic disorder, trauma, PTSD, career challenges, parenting difficulties, chronic low self-esteem, family relations and relationship difficulties. Because therapy should not last a life time, we address issues outside your awareness which interfere with your ability to succeed in life. Then, we focus in building your capacity to address life with a healthier approach. I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge acquired through my practice, teaching at various universities and numerous trainings including intercultural knowledge.

I provide individual therapy for adult and children experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, codependence and unwanted changes using EMDR therapy. (see www.emdr.com). I also empower families with difficulties, addictions and poor parenting skills using family system strategies, coping skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution, positive discipline, communication skills, and family mediation.

I use EMDR, a very effective and speedy technique, to address traumatic experiences and irrational believes about self. Additionally, my experience as an Interculturalist informs my practice with persons with international and intercultural life experiences and gives me the skills to manage multiple perspectives. I have unique skills to assist clients in managing change.

Mindfulness/Meditation for Stress Aliviation Eve

Google mindfulness-anderson-cooper-60-minutes for video. Evening Group. 6 to 8 pm This Group will meet for 8 weeks for 2 hours. Each weekly 2-hour class will consist of: 1st meditation for 30-45 minutes Instruction and discussion for 45 minutes to 1 hour 2nd meditation for 30-40 minutes.
