I have more than 20 years experience in the field of counseling. My experience and education have prepared me to help people with a broad range of life stressors. I am licensed as a professional counselor and a clinical alcohol and drug counselor. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavior (CBT), Solution Focused and Motivational Enhancement approaches. I have extensive experience working with clients who have emotional and substance abuse issues.
Additionally, I am extensively trained and experienced in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy adds leverage to treatment, shortens treatment time, and makes it easier for clients to think about and discuss material they were previously too anxious to confront. Hypnotherapy has been proven effective with depression, anxiety, smoking and weight loss.
